My Social Media Marketing Strategy That Drives SALES For Your Business
I want you to start thinking about the end in mind first.
You need to have a purpose for your actions.
In business, the purpose should always be to drive revenue.
This is true for your social media marketing strategy as well.
Most importantly, you have to remember that followers do not necessarily mean revenue or business.
My Social Media Marketing Strategy – Value Ladder
In order to generate revenue, especially when you operate on social media, you need to understand your Value Ladder.
A Value Ladder is how your audience moves through the purchasing path with you.
With that being said, you need to have a clear understanding of your value ladder before you go out and create posts on social media.
Your posts have to compliment your Value Ladder.
The Value Ladder is created very strategically to help you convert more sales out of your social media marketing strategies.
Social Media Marketing Strategy – High Converting Value Ladder
Typically, this is what a high converting Value Ladder looks like:
I put out (1) FREE CONTENT (i.e social media posts)
If the free content’s purpose is to generate revenue it will lead to a (2) FREE VALUE ADD.
You see me do this each week with the freebies that I offer.
This is another way to add value to my viewer’s life because people don't buy from you unless they know, like, and trust you.
Without having to ask for money upfront, the free value add helps my viewers see the type of value and training that I offer on a free level.
From the free value add, we take our viewer to an (3) INITIAL PURCHASE.
Once an initial purchase is made, we then take our customers to a (4) CORE PURCHASE.
The next level is to now take them to a (5) PROFIT MAXIMIZER PURCHASE.
Social Media Marketing Strategy – Start With The End In Mind
Many businesses out there, your business included, may not have multiple ways that people can buy from you yet.
Perhaps you only have one way your clients can buy from you – that’s completely fine for now.
This will be your initial purchase in the Value Ladder.
Ultimately, to maximize profits, I want you to start thinking about the Value Add and moving people through that ascension series with you.
Now, ask yourself “where in my Value Ladder do I want this post to go?”
85 to 90% of the time I have my social media content leading to my free value add.
This way, I know where I want my viewers to go.
15% of the time, I might make a direct-to-offer purchase for my longtime viewers or a special / promotion.
When you’re posting on social media, you want to do what experts do.
You want to ask yourself “What am I going to post today to serve this revenue goal in my business?” or “Where am I inserting the viewer into my Value Ladder?“
Gaining followers may be an important vanity metric, but you want to serve your business metrics that matter (revenue) first.
Don’t be a pointless poster.
Make sure that you’re maximizing all your efforts in your social media marketing strategy.
