It’s Time To Get Your Pen & Paper Out - Workshop Style To Attract Customers

[03:14] 2 ways to attract customers to your business. You’ll learn more about the strategy call (1) Spray and Pray, as well as (2) Intentional Attraction and why I prefer one over the other.

I talk about the pros and cons of each way and why simply posting non-stop on social media might mean you’re just going to over exhaust yourself.

My absolute best way to attract customers, of course, is Intentional Attraction.

In fact, I sit down and I make sure that I am very intentional with all my posts on social media to ensure that each one serves my business goals.

Honestly, you don’t want to attract everyone to your business because you might be attracting individuals who aren’t your perfect customers and people who don’t even want to buy what you are selling. So what’s the point?
[05:09] Rikky and I talk about our dating profiles and how it actually relates to how you can attract your perfect customers.

If you’re curious to know what Rikky put on his profile that made me swipe right, listen to the show (please do because what he put is pretty awesome!).

Rikky clearly put together an amazing profile and he made a point to weed out anyone who did not meet the similar aspirations as he wanted.

I knew that after reading his profile, we had similar goals and interests. I guess you can say, a perfect match.

If you think about it, this definitely relates to how you should be posting on social media because you want to attract the perfect customer, right?
[08:23] A powerful activity that will help you attract customers.

Grab a pen and paper and write down 3-5 benefits your product or service does for people.
I give you an awesome example of this in the show
.

I use a hair care product that improves scalp health as an example for this short activity, so make sure to listen to it so you can follow along and do this important activity.

The benefits for this example that I share, invoke emotion, are very descriptive and offer solutions.

I explain how and why this is so important in detail in the episode.

This activity is important because we have a goal to attract customers who are looking for these benefits. Don’t sleep on this activity! It’s worth doing.

Remember, when you try to attract everyone, you attract no one.
[11:12] Build trust and attract customers by having a very specific giveaway/freebie/lead magnet.

This is pretty straightforward, you want to create a giveaway that provides value to your perfect customer.

Your “perfect customer” is any individual who is looking for the benefit of what your product or service provides.

It's important to do this, because once a customer gets drawn to your social media posts and you have no way to get them into your world to further show them how you can help them - they get lost in the sea of social media where every other business is competing to get their attention.

People only buy when they feel comfortable with you or feel that you can help them.

I entice people into my world by giving them a freebie PDF download which provides value to them. It tackles topics my perfect customer is looking for.

By doing so, I can turn them into my perfect customer/buyer.

[18:49] WHY this strategy works to attract customers.

This strategy works because of the Law of reciprocity, credibility and authority.

In the book called The Psychology of Influence the author talks about 6 human laws that invoke action.

One very important law is the law of reciprocity which states that someone is more likely to take action with you, if they feel indebted to you. Which means you’ve done something nice for them.

And then from there, the law of "Liking" comes into play and they just end up liking you more!

On top of all this, they now view you as a person of authority because you helped them with something they wanted or needed…

So think about it…if you do all this for someone, how likely are they to now spend money with you?
