Facebook Page vs Group - Commit To A Marketing Strategy

There’s lots of social media platforms that you can be using to bring awareness and market your business.

However, I like to stay focused and keep it simple.

I made a decision a while ago to focus exclusively on Facebook out of all the social media platforms out there.

Why Facebook?

Because in business, it’s all about location.

And since Facebook has 2 billion monthly active users, that makes Facebook the largest social platform right now.


That’s why I use Facebook as my main platform to create awareness for my brand and bring people into my business.

So, if you’re thinking of using your Facebook page and group to build your business, you’ll need to commit to using it as your main strategy for growing your business.

Why focus on just one?

It’s hard, I know, but remember this…

Wherever you put your focus and effort is exactly where you’ll reap your financial gains.

If you want to see massive growth then you’ll want to put as much focus and effort into one strategy instead of being all over the place and spreading yourself too thin.

Facebook Page vs Group - The Importance of Brand Congruency

If you’re thinking of starting a Facebook group, the best thing you could do is to use your Facebook page, as the point of contact before getting someone over to your group.

So, the first thing you’ll need is to start a Facebook Page.

If you don’t already have one, it’s vital to your business that you create one.

And here’s why…

- Your Facebook Page positions you as a credible authority in your industry
- It’s a great platform for bringing awareness to your group
- You can link your group right from your Facebook page
- You can do your Facebook lives from your page and invite people to join your group
- Facebook Pages are public, therefore, it’s easy to be found when someone is doing a Google search. This strengthens the credibility and enhances the organic reach of your business.

This is why it makes much more sense to use your Facebook page to put all of your promotional pieces that will create awareness and bring people over to your Facebook group.

If your posting Facebook lives or doing your posts only in your groups, you will limit yourself in the amount of people that you’ll be able to reach because no one outside the group will be able to see what your posting.

I like to think of it as a fishing line. I capture people’s attention from my page and then bring them over to my group where I then foster relationships and build community with them.

So, the first thing you’ll want to do is to start a Facebook Page, if you don’t already have one.

Your Facebook group is where you focus on fostering community and providing tips and value to the people that you bring in from your page.

If done properly, you’ll have a community of raving fans and customers that love to be around you and the community as a whole.

This is the exact strategy I use with both my Facebook Page and Facebook group in order to add people on a weekly basis and it’s helped me grow my business tremendously.
