I can go on and on giving you all the reasons why I believe you should be using your Facebook business page instead of your personal profile to grow your business and market your brand.
You might even be thinking “WHY, Tanya?”
I mean, I get it.
You already have your personal Facebook profile and everyone you know is already on there.
…but maaaaan the incomparable growth that a Facebook Business Page brings.
I know this for sure… My multiple seven-figure brand is proof of this.
Stay with me ‘til the very end of this training episode, as I share with you the single most important reason why you should be using your Facebook business page instead of your personal profile.
Let’s dive in.
With every episode of Tanya Aliza TV, I like to equip you with a POWERFUL free resource that goes with the episode which you can implement right away to create some of the same results, if not better, in your entrepreneurial ventures.
Since, in this episode, we're talking about using your Facebook business page, I put together a free resource called My Facebook Live Checklist.
After going through this freebie, you’ll know what to do before, during, and after your Facebook live to get the most exposure, views, and reach on your Facebook lives.
You can download the FREE resource by clicking below.
"Tanya, do I use my Facebook personal profile to post my stuff on? Or should I use my Facebook business page?" - Boy, do I get this question a lot.
If it’s been on your mind too…It's because it’s actually a very good question.
I’ve always used both for maximum exposure.
BUT (yes, there’s a but!) I would say you should be putting your focus on your Facebook business page.
Don’t get me wrong, I still post on my personal profile but the majority of my effort is on my Facebook business page.
What I’m about to share with you only works, if you’re using your Facebook business page.
…and if you’re like me, you’re probably already asking about how Facebook groups come into the mix - I’ve got you!
A training episode I did in the past (Episode 76) talks about using your Facebook group.
Now, back to focusing on your business page.
Picture this…you’re driving down the I-5 during rush hour in L.A. (if you’re not familiar with what the I-5 is, it’s only the busiest interstate in existence!)
Now, think of your Facebook Business Page as a billboard located in prime real estate on the I-5 in L.A…during rush hour.
Wow, right? You can just imagine all the eyes on your high profile billboard right now. That. is. A LOT.
So, when Facebook gave us the ability to use pages - your business page became a way for people to find you.
Compared to personal profiles, Facebook gives business pages exceptionally different reach and exposure.
Basically, Facebook woke up one day and said “hey, let’s make sure people only use their personal profile for friends and family while on the other hand let's make sure they use their business page for business information/content.
By now, you’re probably seeing how Facebook Business pages have more tools and capabilities than personal profiles.
Facebook realized that businesses want:
1. Maximum exposure
2. Maximum call to action
3. Right people finding your services and brand
So Facebook really said well, "let's give them something that has more tools and capabilities that meet all that!"
Since we're talking about capabilities, I really want to spill the tea about one incredibly important capability.
The tea? The single most important reason why you want to be posting your content on your Facebook business page and not your group or personal profile is how post interactions are tracked on Facebook Business Pages.
Whether somebody likes, shares, or comments on your content - Facebook tracks that activity and you get to use that data.
For example, I do a Facebook live ( I do them regularly every Tuesday, by the way) and when somebody watches it or interacts with it, Facebook will take the audience that is viewing it, gather their Facebook information and put it into a little list where you get to remarket to that list if you want to. Coolbeans, I know!
If you want to see my Facebook lives and how it’s done, just head on over to my page at www.facebook.com/tanyaaliza.
Whether you’re already doing it or you’re thinking about doing it in the future - you should already be collecting these “invisible” lists that Facebook collects for you based on the content you are posting on your Facebook Business Page.
You will be able to show advertisements to anyone who has interacted with your content.
A warm audience is someone who has already been exposed to you and your brand in some way.
It’s 10 times easier to convert your warm audience.
On the other hand, a cold audience is somebody who doesn't know you or has never been indoctrinated into your brand.
Focusing on putting your content on your Facebook business page will allow Facebook to work for you - for FREE!
Facebook collects these mini warm lists of interested people who are engaging with your content.
You can run ads to those people, increasing your Facebook ad results immensely as far as growing your audience, but most importantly making sales and increasing your revenue!
Like I said, Facebook lives are actually one of my hottest strategies.
This is because we can collect these invisible lists, retarget and do marketing with our Facebook ads.
This has really exploded our Facebook ad results.
Because of this, I make it a point to show up and do a 30 to 40 minute Facebook live weekly. Yours doesn’t have to be as long, but being on longer allows you to get more eyeballs on the video.
You know what’s even cooler?
The more people you can get to watch the video, Facebook pushes it out to other people who are going to like that video!
Facebook lives have been the beefiest way to grow these invisible lists.
Hopefully, this training on Facebook business pages helps you with your Facebook growth.
Always remember, that your Facebook business page is your own personal High Profile Billboard.
